Art Class
In the studio, students will explore several different mediums such as pastels (chalk and oil), paints (watercolor, acrylic, tempura), charcoal, and clay (coil, pinch, & wheel-thrown pottery). They will become familiar with many line drawing skills (proportion, composition, perspective, foreground vs. background). They will also use simple materials like glue, markers, and crayons in different ways to find a result that is pleasing to them.
Art Appreciation will also be incorporated throughout the year so that students can learn about various artists and appreciate different styles and genres.

All artists are encouraged to take risks during art class and to have fun! I can't wait to see the masterpieces that they create!!!
